Liverpool have reportedly informed German international Emre Can that he will not be leaving Anfield this summer.
Can, 23, has entered the final year of his contract with the Reds, and it is understood that the two parties are currently struggling to come to a new agreement.
It has recently been claimed that the midfielder is the subject of a £22.5m bid from Juventus, but according to The Mirror, Liverpool will not sell Can in this summer's transfer window, despite the threat of losing him on a free at the end of this season.
Can, who helped Germany win the Confederations Cup earlier this summer, scored five times and provided two assists in 32 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last season.
The midfielder played the full 90 minutes of Liverpool's 3-3 draw with Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
