Nottingham Forest have secured a vital three points with a 1-0 win over Peterborough United.
It was the away side who started the stronger and Lewis McGugan so nearly opened the scoring after just two minutes, but he fired wide.
Radoslaw Majewski was next to come close after 11 minutes, but Peterborough goalkeeper Paul Jones pushed the ball wide.
Forest did move into the lead, however, after 38 minutes when Dexter Blackstock struck from close range.
Blackstock remained the biggest threat in the match in the second period, but Forest handed Peterborough a lifeline when Gareth McCleary was dismissed for a foul on Grant McCann after 69 minutes.
Paul Taylor and Danny Ball came close for the home side in the final moments of the match, but they could not make the breakthrough.
The result leaves Forest 19th in the Championship, while Peterborough sit 17th.
