Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Blackpool vs. Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town will aim to narrow their gap to the top two in the League One table on Saturday, when they visit Bloomfield Road to take on Blackpool.

In the midst of a 15-match league unbeaten streak, the visitors trail the automatic promotion spots by four points, while their hosts sit 16th having failed to win any of their last five league outings.

We say: Blackpool 1-2 Huddersfield Town

With the hosts having failed to get over the line in recent weeks and the visitors growing in confidence in their promotion bid after bouncing back to winning ways last time out, we back the Terriers to make it back-to-back three-point hauls when they visit Bloomfield Road.

Peterborough vs. Leyton Orient (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Two League One teams separated by 11 places and 12 points meet at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday lunchtime as Peterborough United play host to Leyton Orient.

The Posh and the O's do battle for the first time since the end of September last year when they played out a 2-2 draw at Brisbane Road.

We say: Peterborough United 1-2 Leyton Orient

Goals are to be expected on Saturday as 12 of the last 13 competitive meetings between Peterborough and Leyton Orient have seen both teams score, with three or more goals scored on 10 of those occasions.

Taking into account the form of both teams, Leyton Orient will be regarded as favourites to come out on top and they should have enough quality in the final third to fire themselves to three important points on the road.

Northampton vs. Lincoln (Saturday, 2.00pm)

Northampton Town play host to Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon both in need of victories to bolster their respective positions in League One.

At a time when the home side sit just six points clear of the relegation zone, the visitors have recently dropped down to 12th spot in the standings.

We say: Northampton Town 1-2 Lincoln City

With Northampton having finally got another win on the board, they have the momentum heading into this contest. However, given that they only defeated the bottom-placed side, we are backing the visitors to edge this fixture and secure a morale-boosting three points.

Bolton vs. Cambridge (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stumbling playoff hopefuls Bolton Wanderers are set to host relegation-threatened Cambridge United at the Toughsheet Community Stadium this Saturday in League One.

The Trotters will be looking for a win to bring them some stability amidst a run of mixed form, while the U's will be desperate for points to avoid being cut adrift in the relegation zone.

We say: Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Cambridge United

Bolton have scored in each of their last six matches, and they are almost certain to continue that record against Cambridge given the visitors' poor defensive displays this term.

Also, with the U's lacking goals to show for their offensive effort, it is difficult to picture them making a comeback once they have gone behind, so anticipate a sixth consecutive defeat for Monk's side on Saturday.

Bristol Rovers vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After being eliminated from the FA Cup, relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers are set to host in-form, promotion-chasing Barnsley at Memorial Stadium on Saturday in League One.

The visitors beat struggling Crawley Town 3-0 last time out, and will be looking to repeat that result to make it five wins on the bounce this weekend.

We say: Bristol Rovers 0-2 Barnsley

These two teams are in contrasting form at the moment, and all of the momentum seems to be with Barnsley ahead of this weekend.

Additionally, the Tykes' excellent away record and exceptional goalscoring prowess makes it difficult to picture anything other than a fifth consecutive victory for the visitors on Saturday, so expect Clarke's side to keep up their push for promotion.

Crawley vs. Burton Albion (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Crawley Town and Burton Albion square off on Saturday afternoon with both clubs knowing that they desperately need a win as they bid to remain in League One.

At a time when 21th-placed Crawley sit five points adrift of safety, the visitors are bottom of the table and 11 points away from getting out of trouble.

We say: Crawley Town 1-1 Burton Albion

While Burton are in a position where they should throw caution to the wind, there may be a few more nerves in the Crawley camp. With that in mind, we are backing a low-scoring draw that ultimately benefits neither team.

Mansfield vs. Wycombe (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After a change at the helm, Wycombe Wanderers will travel to Mansfield Town this weekend for round 27 of League One.

The visitors parted ways with head coach Matt Bloomfield on January 14 after the 40-year-old was appointed by Championship side Luton Town.

We say: Mansfield Town 1-2 Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe's impressive away record, coupled with Mansfield's struggles against them at home, gives the Chairboys a slight edge despite their recent managerial change.

The hosts' recent resurgence suggests they'll be competitive, but the visitors' attack, which has scored a whopping 32 goals on their travels, should see them edge a close contest.

Reading vs. Stockport (Saturday, 3.00pm)

A pivotal clash in the race for promotion is set to take place at Select Car Leasing Stadium when Reading take on Stockport County on Saturday in League One.

The Royals come into the clash in strong form and are on a four-game unbeaten streak in the league, while the Hatters are without a win in 2025 and may be down on confidence ahead of such an important fixture.

We say: Reading 2-1 Stockport County

All of the momentum is with Reading ahead of this crucial clash, but even though both sides are in contrasting form, this match is sure to be a close-fought contest.

The hosts can be expected to extend their impressive unbeaten run in the league to five matches this weekend, and given their impressive goalscoring record, they may even take all three points on Saturday.

Rotherham vs. Charlton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After their triumph in the Football League Trophy, Rotherham United return to League One action this weekend as they welcome Charlton Athletic to New York Stadium.

The Millers secured a place in the next phase of the Vertu Trophy after edging past fourth-tier side Chesterfield on penalties following a goalless draw in midweek.

We say: Rotherham United 1-1 Charlton Athletic

Charlton's dominance in this fixture gives them an edge, but Rotherham's strong league form and unbeaten streak make them tough to beat.

Both sides have been consistent in recent weeks, and with neither wanting to lose ground in the standings, a draw seems the most likely outcome in a competitive encounter.

Stevenage vs. Wigan (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stevenage play host to Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon needing all three points to kick-start a potential push for the League One playoffs.

At a time when the home side sit in 14th place in the table, Wigan are down in 17th spot and at risk of being pulled into a relegation scrap.

We say: Stevenage 1-1 Wigan Athletic

With both teams showing very little form of late, this could turn into a scrap rather than an enthralling game of football. With that in mind, a low-scoring draw could play out, a result that would be welcomed more by the visitors than the hosts.

Birmingham vs. Exeter (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Birmingham City play host to Exeter City on Saturday afternoon looking to strengthen their position at the top of the League One table.

Meanwhile, Exeter make the trip to the West Midlands looking to avoid defeat having fallen away from playoff contention in recent weeks.

We say: Birmingham City 2-0 Exeter City

Although Exeter may feel encouraged that Birmingham have not always been convincing of late, we can only see one winner here. The dominant victory over Wigan should stand Blues in good stead and lead to another comfortable win.
