The 63-year-old Frenchman's current deal is due to expire at the end of this season.
However, he will soon be given the chance to commit his future to the Gunners until June 2015 by putting pen to paper on a fresh £7.5m-a-year agreement, according to The Sun.
The same newspaper also claims that Wenger will be given £40m to spend on new players during the January transfer window.
