Alan Smith: 'Arsenal could lose grip on Premier League title'

Alan Smith believes that Arsenal could fall out of the Premier League title race, despite currently leading the standings.

Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith believes that the club could lose out on winning the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are currently at the top of the standings after 21 games, but Manchester City and Chelsea remain favourites.

"[This season] as a football club they're in a better position to stay in the challenge but, if you asked me now, would they win it or would Manchester City win? I would have to plump for City, unfortunately, because they've got a stronger [squad]," Smith told talkSPORT.

City are just one point behind Arsenal, while Chelsea reside two points adrift.
