Arsenal could be plotting to make a January transfer move for young West Ham United defender Declan Rice, according to a report in the press.
The 17-year-old centre-back has quietly moved through the Hammers' ranks and impressed coach Slaven Bilic with his performances during the club's pre-season tour of Austria during the summer.
According to The Sun, the Gunners have been monitoring Rice's development and may aim to bid for his services during the winter window following some standout showings as the captain of West Ham's Under-23 side.
The defender currently has three years left on his contract at the East London club.
