Arsenal 'favourites to land Edinson Cavani'

A raft of bookmakers install Arsenal as the likely destination for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani should he leave the Ligue 1 club next year.

Arsenal have been installed as the favourites to land striker Edinson Cavani should he leave Paris Saint-Germain next year.

The 27-year-old, who scored 78 goals in 104 appearances for Napoli before making the move to PSG last summer, is said to be disappointed at being used sparingly at the Parc des Princes due to the goalscoring form shown by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

It has led to French publication L'Equipe to suggest that Cavani could be on his way out of the French capital in 12 months' time, with a raft of bookmakers backing the Uruguayan to land at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have all also been linked with the forward in recent times.

Cavani cost PSG £55m and still has four years remaining on his current deal.
