Arsenal have reportedly rejected Roma's latest approach for midfielder Granit Xhaka.
The Switzerland international may be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer despite making 45 appearances during the current campaign.
However, while there is a desire to raise transfer funds for the current window, it appears that Arsenal have no intention of parting ways with the 28-year-old on the cheap.
According to RomaPress, Roma have failed with a second attempt to sign Xhaka with the Gunners continuing to demand in the region of £20m.
The Italian side, now managed by Jose Mourinho, were only able to qualify for next season's Europa Conference League, reducing the chances of them spending such a fee over the coming months.
Xhaka has two years remaining on his Arsenal contract.
