Report: West Ham United tell Winston Reid to 'sign new contract or leave'

Rumoured Liverpool and Arsenal target Winston Reid is told to sign a new contract with West Ham United or risk being sold in January, according to a report.

West Ham United have reportedly told Winston Reid to sign a new contract with the club or risk being sold in the January transfer window.

The New Zealand international's form this season has seen him linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks, but Sam Allardyce is reportedly keen to keep hold of the centre-back.

However, the Daily Mail reports that West Ham officials would rather cash in on Reid in January - when he will still have six months left to run on his current deal - than let him leave on the cheap next summer.

Reid joined the Hammers from the Danish side Midtjylland in 2010.
