Arjen Robben: 'Bayern Munich showed fight to beat Mainz 05'

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben hails his side's determination to overcome a shaky start in the weekend's 4-1 win over Mainz 05.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has declared that the league leaders proved that they have the fighting spirit to match their talents at the weekend against Mainz 05.

Pep Guardiola's side trailed Mainz at the break but rallied in the second half, with a brace from Thomas Muller helping Bayern record a 4-1 victory.

He told the Bundesliga's official website: "The first half was difficult and we didn't do very well.

"We made too many technical mistakes and misplaced passes, but we fought well and played much better in the second half.

"We created a bit more space and if you fight until the end, you usually deserve to win."

Bayern have won all five of their home matches in the Bundesliga this season, with an unbeaten start to the campaign keeping them top of the table, one point clear of Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
