Bournemouth have reportedly been given permission to hold talks with Barnsley defender Mason Holgate.
It was reported earlier this summer that Holgate had attracted interest from Manchester United, and despite recently training with the club, the 18-year-old now looks set to be on his way to Dean Court.
According to Daily Mail, Barnsley have accepted a bid of £1m plus future incentives from the Cherries for the right-back, who made 22 appearances last season in an impressive breakthrough campaign.
The report suggests that Aston Villa and Everton have also made enquiries about his availability, but Holgate will now hold talks with Bournemouth ahead of a proposed move.
Holgate was left out of the squad as Barnsley started their League One campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Chesterfield on Saturday.
