Newcastle United outcast Aleksandar Mitrovic has been made the subject of a bid by Brighton & Hove Albion, according to a report.
The 23-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements at St James' Park after failing to start a single game since the Magpies' promotion to the Premier League.
Mitrovic is holding out for offers this month, and Sky Sports News claims that Brighton are the first to make a formal offer for the Serbian striker.
Another Premier League side, thought to be West Bromwich Albion, have also shown an interest in Mitrovic and may rival Albion's undisclosed bid.
Brighton have already broken their transfer record to bring in Jurgen Locadia from PSV Eindhoven this month, with goals a real issue for boss Chris Hughton.
