Jose Mourinho: 'We have both eyes on Maccabi Tel Aviv game'

Jose Mourinho rejects the suggestion that he is distracted by this weekend's Premier League match against Arsenal ahead of Chelsea's European clash with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he and his players are fully focused on tonight's Champions League group stage opener at home to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The Portuguese boss made six changes to his team after the 3-1 defeat to Everton on Saturday left the Blues in 17th place in the Premier League with just one win from their first five matches, their worst start to a domestic season in 29 years.

Captain John Terry and fellow first-team regulars Branislav Ivanovic, Nemanja Matic, Diego Costa and Pedro have all been left out of the team for the clash with the Israeli champions, but Mourinho insists that he is focused on getting his side's European campaign off to a good start.

Asked by BT Sport if he had one eye on the Premier League match against Arsenal this weekend, Mourinho replied: "No, no. I have both eyes and everything in this game.

"I told the players that I don't want to think about Everton and I don't want to think about Arsenal. It is today and just today."
