Report: Jose Mourinho to be given time at Chelsea

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly willing to give manager Jose Mourinho time to turn the club's season around.

Jose Mourinho will reportedly be given time to turn Chelsea's fortunes around, despite his team suffering their seventh Premier League defeat of the season at the weekend.

The Portuguese coach was not present to watch his side lose 1-0 to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium as he served a one-match stadium ban.

The 52-year-old, who has been in trouble with the Football Association a handful of times this season, was banned after angrily confronting referee Jonathan Moss during last month's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United at Upton Park.

While some reports have claimed that Chelsea are considering replacements for Mourinho, the Daily Star reports that club owner Roman Abramovich is willing to give the manager more time at the helm.

Chelsea are 16th in the league table, just three points above the relegation zone after 12 games.
