Cesar Azpilicueta has reportedly told Chelsea that he wants the club to match the offer on the table from Barcelona if he is to continue his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The Spain international's current deal with the Blues is due to expire at the end of June, and he continues to be strongly linked with a move away from the European Cup holders.
Barcelona have allegedly offered a two-year contract plus the option of an extra year, while there is also believed to be an offer on the table from Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea want the Spaniard to stay on rolling one-year deals in line with the club's policy, but Azpilicueta is not prepared to agree to those terms.
According to 90min, the 32-year-old is only prepared to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge if the club match the offers on the table from elsewhere.
The defender has again been an important player for Thomas Tuchel's side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 31 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists in the process.
