Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has hailed the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
After being linked with the 27-year-old throughout the summer, Chelsea have announced that they have completed the signing of Sterling, who joins the club on a five-year contract.
Sterling will join up with his England teammate Mount, who has said that he is "excited" to link up with the former Liverpool player.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Mount described Sterling as a "top, top guy, obviously such an experienced player and a top class pro."
"I've obviously been lucky to play with him over the last couple of years at England, where he has captained the team at times, and he is someone who has been there for a very long time," Mount added.
"I've learnt a lot off him over the last couple of years, so for him to be joining us is only going to bring our levels higher.
"He is definitely someone who strives for high levels to win, and that is what we want. We want them players around this group and I'm very excited to see him and for him to be here."
When asked whether Sterling could be a leader in the dressing room, Mount stated: "Definitely, I think obviously we lost a few that are leaders, and I think he is coming in and will be someone who will lead.
"He will be big presence within the group and be a big personality because that is what he is like, but he is only going to make us better so I'm very excited.
"He is a winner and us as a team, we want to keep striving for that and hopefully we can win some things together".
Sterling is already in the United States for Chelsea's pre-season tour, which begins with a friendly against Club America on July 16.
