Manchester United target Juan Cuadrado has been hailed as the best player in the world in his position by former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi.
Cuadrado starred for Colombia at the World Cup in Brazil this summer, finishing the tournament with the highest number of assists.
The Fiorentina winger is also a target for Catalan giants Barcelona, with his club believed to value him in the region of £30m.
"At this moment I really think he is the top player in his role," Tacchinardi is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "He plays with brilliance, speed and intelligence.
"He is an old-fashioned winger, always unpredictable with the beating of his man. He reminds me a bit of Roberto Donadoni during his time at AC Milan, a winger who always knew how to help his team by switching on the turbo on the flank.
"He is electric but has so much strength in his muscles. The Colombian really is unique. We have to hope that Serie A is not deprived of his class, the league would lose so much."
Manchester United have also been linked with a big-money move for German defender Mats Hummels.
