The 18-year-old has joined the club for a fee of €10m (£8.4m) on a five-year contract.
Bruma played in this summer's Under-20 World Cup, scoring five goals for Portugal.
The deal could rise to €13m (£11m) depending on performances, with Sporting receiving 25% of any future transfer.
