Inter Milan have confirmed that Nemanja Vidic's contract at San Siro has been cancelled by mutual consent.
The centre-back joined Inter on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2014 and he went on to make 28 appearances in all competitions last season.
However, he has been sidelined since the summer with fitness problems and has now been released to find himself a new club.
"I thank all the Nerazzurri family and fans. I wish you great success for the future. Always Forza Inter," the departing 34-year-old told the club's official website.
There have been suggestions that Vidic will join a team in the MLS.
