Kalvin Phillips is reportedly on the verge of signing a new five-year contract with Leeds United.
The 23-year-old has a little under two years left to run on his current deal at Elland Road.
Aston Villa were strongly linked with a move for the midfielder during the summer transfer window, but the Whites managed to resist the interest to keep hold of the academy product.
According to The Athletic, Phillips is now poised to sign a new five-year contract with the Championship outfit worth in the region of £20,000 a week, placing him amongst the higher earners at the club.
The report claims that Leeds valued the midfielder in excess of £20m during the summer as speculation surrounding interest from Villa continued to gather space.
Phillips has not missed a minute of Championship football for Marcelo Bielsa's side this term.
