Leicester City forward Islam Slimani has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for former club Sporting Lisbon.
In 2016, the Foxes paid the Portuguese giants a fee of £29m to sign the Algerian forward, but things have not worked out for the 29-year-old at the King Power Stadium.
Slimani has made just 14 starts in the Premier League - with just one coming this season - and according to A Bola, Sporting want to re-sign their former striker.
Sporting are currently challenging Porto at the top of the Primeira Liga, and the addition of Slimani could swing the title race in their favour during the second half of the campaign.
One stumbling block could be Sporting's unwillingness to meet Leicester's asking price, likely resulting in a loan offer being made in the coming weeks.
