Jose Enrique to help Alberto Moreno

Former Newcastle United left-back Jose Enrique wants to help Alberto Moreno settle in at Anfield, despite the competition for a place in the first team.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique is ready to lend his support to fellow countryman Alberto Moreno, despite the competition between the two for the left-back berth.

Moreno made his way to the Premier League from Sevilla in a deal said to be worth £12m, and found his feet quickly after scoring Liverpool's third against Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Enrique says that he is not worried about the competition though, as he just wants the 22-year-old to settle in.

"I remember my first year at Newcastle was really, really difficult. But he has something I didn't, and that's people here who can speak Spanish," Enrique told Sky Sports News.

"I want to play, that's the reality, but I am going to help him, like I have already, with anything he needs."

Enrique made his move to Liverpool from Newcastle United in 2011 but has found it difficult to hold down his place in the first team due to injuries.
