Liverpool 'quoted £44m for Federico Chiesa'

Fiorentina reportedly quote Liverpool £44m for the services of young winger Federico Chiesa.

Liverpool have reportedly been told that they must pay £44m in order to secure the services of Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa this summer.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed an eye-catching breakthrough season for the Serie A outfit, scoring six goals and registering three assists to draw attention from the Reds, both Manchester clubs and Napoli.

According to Corriere dello Sport, La Viola are reluctant to let one of their emerging stars go but if he should depart, they want at least €50m (£44m) for his signature.

The youngster only penned a new contract with Fiorentina in November last year, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2021-22 season on wages of around £35,000 a week.

Chiesa has been part of the Fiorentina setup since the age of nine and earlier this year earned his first senior call-up for the Italy national team.
