Real Madrid are reportedly keen to secure the services of Michael Edwards if the sporting director leaves Liverpool next summer.
Edwards has played a key role behind the scenes at Anfield since 2016, having a hand in countless high-profile additions which have helped Liverpool to the Premier League and Champions League.
However, it was suggested earlier this year that the Englishman was thinking about departing the Merseyside giants when his contract expires at the end of the season.
According to The Sun, Real will make their move for the 41-year-old if it becomes clear that he wishes to take on a new challenge.
While Los Blancos' transfer plans for the summer have been well documented, president Florentino Perez is said to want Edwards to help instigate a overhaul in that area behind the scenes.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has previously dismissed any concerns over the possible departure of Edwards.
