Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has emerged as a summer transfer target for Liverpool, according to a report.
Watkins joined the Villans from Brentford for a club record £28m fee last summer and has scored 14 goals in his first campaign at Villa Park.
That includes 12 goals in 30 Premier League appearances, form that earned the 25-year-old his first senior England cap - and a goal - against San Marino last month.
Football Insider claims that the Exeter City academy product's eye for goal, blistering pace and aerial ability have caught the eye of Liverpool scouts.
Watkins can also operate out wide if needed, meaning that he ticks every box the Reds are after for a new attacking player this summer.
The Englishman scored a hat-trick against Liverpool in Villa's memorable 7-2 win in October, and was also in target in last week's 2-1 loss at Anfield.
