Half-Time Report: Edin Dzeko, Yaya Toure on target, Manchester City in front at Crystal Palace

Edin Dzeko and Yaya Toure score to give Manchester City a 2-0 half-time lead at Crystal Palace, as they look to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Manchester City are on course to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to three points as they lead Crystal Palace by two goals at the break.

Manuel Pellegrini's side took the lead after just three minutes when the returning Yaya Toure picked out Edin Dzeko in the middle, and the Bosnian headed powerfully and low past Julian Speroni.

Toure then got on the scoresheet himself just before half time. He exchanged passes with Samir Nasri, muscled his way into the box and curled a left-footed shot into the far corner.

With Liverpool's 11-game winning streak coming to an end at the hands of fellow title challengers Chelsea earlier today, City now have the title in their hands as they have a game in hand and a better goal difference than the Reds.
