Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has set his sights on winning silverware with the club next season, having experienced a trophyless campaign last term.
Pep Guardiola failed to pick up silverware in a season for the first time in his illustrious managerial career during his debut campaign in English football, with City reaching the last 16 of the Champions League and EFL Cup, the semi-finals of the FA Cup and finishing third in the Premier League.
Sane admitted that his side are perhaps not ready to go all the way in the Champions League yet, but does hope to help the club to at least one trophy during the 2017-18 season.
"I don't think we are one of the favourites [for the Champions League], but we can go through to the semi-finals," he told ESPN.
"We have a team that can do it, experienced young players who play very well. If we work a lot and improve, we can do it. Pep [Guardiola] has won many trophies and he gives us a lot of belief. It is a big year. I want to win some trophies."
Man City's last piece of silverware was the League Cup in 2015-16.
