Report: Valencia hope to sell Alvaro Negredo

Alvaro Negredo could be heading for the Valencia exit door, as the club are reportedly desperate to get rid of him.

Valencia are reportedly desperate to sell striker Alvaro Negredo so they can pay the £20m they owe Manchester City.

The Spaniard joined the La Liga side from City on a season-long loan last season with a guaranteed £20m move this summer, but Negredo scored just six times.

Now the club are due to pay the Premier League side the first half of the fee, and the Daily Mail claims that they want to sell the player to fund it.

Negredo has been mainly left out of Valencia's pre-season action, but it is understood that he wants to fight for his place.

He scored 23 times for City in his one season at the club in 2013-14.
