Manchester City and England midfielder Phil Foden has emerged as a doubt for Saturday's UEFA Nations League opener with Hungary due to illness.
Gareth Southgate's side will begin their campaign in League A Group 3 against the Magyars at the Puskas Arena in Budapest before facing Germany and Italy in the coming days.
Foden was expected to be a strong candidate to start on the left-hand side on Saturday evening, but England have now revealed that the 22-year-old missed Friday's training session after falling ill.
Defenders Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori were also restricted to indoor training programmes the day before the game, with Southgate set to provide a further update in his pre-game press conference.
Foden linked up with the England squad after registering 14 goals and 11 assists in 45 appearances for Man City during the 2021-22 season, while he also boasts two goals and six assists from 15 England appearances.
Southgate has already seen Ben White pull out of the squad due to injury ahead of the first of four Nations League games this month, with Hungary also set to visit Wembley on June 14.
