Dick Advocaat: Sunderland will give Manchester United "tough time"

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat insists that his team will give Manchester United a "tough time", despite failing to win any of their opening six Premier League matches.

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat has said that his team will benefit from having "nothing to lose" against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Cats travel to Old Trafford without a win in six Premier League games, but Advocaat has predicted that his side will give Louis van Gaal's men "a really tough time".

The Dutchman is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "If you have a draw at Old Trafford, you have a great result. They are a team who will fight for the championship.

"You have nothing to lose against United and if we are well organised and try to hurt them a bit then why not?

"Normally United would beat us but we can give them a really tough time. That will happen, you will see."

Sunderland face United just four days after losing 4-1 at home to Manchester City in the League Cup.
