Manchester United full-back Rafael will reportedly be sidelined for four to five weeks after damaging his hamstring during the FA Community Shield.

Manchester United full-back Rafael da Silva is reportedly expected to be sat on the sidelines for four to five weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian was forced off the field at Wembley after just 16 minutes during his side's FA Community Shield victory over Wigan Athletic yesterday.

Despite manager David Moyes attempting to calm fears over the extent of Rafael's injury, it is understood that he could be out of action for just over a month, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Rafael is suspended for United's opening Premier League clash against Swansea City on August 17 after picking up a red card against Chelsea towards the end of last season.
