Manchester United striker Robin van Persie wants his side to build on their success last season and win further trophies and competitions.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is eyeing more success with the club next season insisting that he wants "more medals".

The Netherlands international was in fine form for the Red Devils last season as his 26 goals fired them to the Premier League title.

Van Persie told the Daily Star: "It's a challenge and everybody knows what our standard is. Hopefully next year we can win the Double, or even more.

"It will be a new era and I'm looking forward to it. I want more medals because I now know how it feels. It gives you the taste for more."

Van Persie moved to United last season in a £24m switch from Arsenal.
