Everton boss Roberto Martinez has insisted that he has heard nothing from Manchester United in relation to Seamus Coleman.
It has been reported that United are preparing a January move for the defender, with Louis van Gaal believed to view the Republic of Ireland international as the perfect wing-back.
However, Martinez has said that there has been no contact from Old Trafford.
"For me that's nothing. There is nothing for me to comment really, I haven't seen that, I have no recollection of that," he told reporters.
"As you can imagine what we want at the football club is to build something special and to make us stronger so the last thing we want to do is lose important players so no there has been no contact."
Coleman, 26, scored seven times for Everton last season.
