The Premier League has ratified Tom Cleverley's loan switch to Aston Villa.
It was revealed earlier today that having previously rejected a switch to Villa Park, the Manchester United midfielder had a change of heart during the closing stages of yesterday's deadline day.
Both clubs had submitted the necessary paperwork to the Premier League, but due to the timing being so close to the 11pm cut-off, the deal needed to be approved by the governing body.
A meeting was held this afternoon, where the switch was sanctioned, which has seen Cleverley join Villa on a season-long basis.
It is believed that under the terms of the deal, all parties have the right to end the 25-year-old's stint in Birmingham in January.
