The 23-year-old is believed to be on the verge of a €13m [£10.18m] move to the Partenopei after months of speculation.
"I want to salute the Samp fans. It was a wonderful year and a half here," Gabbiadini told Sky Sport Italia.
"Am I excited about the Napoli adventure? I am fired up to the right point."
Gabbiadini has scored seven goals in 13 Serie A games for Sampdoria this season.
