Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez has backed the team to push on after securing their Premier League survival.
The Magpies avoided relegation on the final day of the 2014-15 campaign following a tumultuous season both on and off the pitch at St James' Park.
Despite giving the fans little to cheer about last term, Perez is hopeful that Newcastle can go from strength to strength in the next few years.
"For me, playing in the Premier League was a dream since I was a child and Newcastle United has given me the chance to make this dream come true," he told the club's official website.
"It has been an unforgettable year and I hope it's just the beginning of something big here in Newcastle.
"Now I'm looking forward next season to seeing the Toon Army in St. James' again and giving them better moments than this year."
Perez scored seven goals in 39 games for Newcastle last season after joining the club from Tenerife.
