Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes has emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United, according to a report.
West Ham United are also said to have enquired about the Portugal international, who scored 16 goals and set up 12 more in all competitions last time out.
Fernandes appears to be on his way out of the Estadio Jose Alvalade, with a number of Sporting players looking to terminate their contracts following May's training ground attack.
Portuguese media outlet A Bola suggests that Newcastle will rival West Ham for the 23-year-old, although the Hammers may end their interest if they complete a move for Lazio's Felipe Anderson.
Despite Fernandes's contract situation, a cut-price fee of £20m may still be required to avoid the case going to a tribunal.
