Newcastle United are reportedly planning another raid on Ligue 1 as they look to bolster their forward line with the signing of Diafra Sakho.
Alan Pardew is looking at his striking options with Loic Remy, who has netted 11 goals this season, not certain to be staying at St James' Park beyond the end of the season when his loan deal from Queens Park Rangers expires, talkSPORT claims.
Sakho, 24, who has 12 goals to his name in France's second tier playing for Metz, is also said to be catching the eye of Serie A side Torino and could cost the Magpies in the region of £800,000.
Aside from Remy, Newcastle's other strikers have mustered just seven goals between them this campaign and Pardew decided to recruit Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Luuk de Jong to maximise United's attacking threat for the second half of the campaign.
