Former Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan star Luis Figo has joined UEFA as a football advisor.
The ex-Portugal international and one-time Ballon d'Or winner will preside over the technical aspects and laws of the game at the governing body.
"I believe I can have a positive influence in passing on my knowledge," said Figo in a statement.
"I have learned so much from football that I am now really looking forward to giving something back."
Figo will work alongside Germany international Nadine Kessler and ex-Serbia midfielder Dejan Stankovic, who recently joined UEFA in advisory capacities.
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has described Figo as a "very valuable asset" to the organisation.
