Norwich City have gone top of the Championship with a 3-0 win against Brentford at Griffin Park this evening.
Cameron Jerome scored twice to add to Nathan Redmond's second-half opener as the Canaries maintained their point advantage over Watford, who beat Blackpool 1-0 at Bloomfield Road.
Jonathan Douglas and Alan McCormack sent a couple of efforts wide of the goal within minutes of each other before the half-hour mark, shortly before Redmond went close for the Canaries.
Alan Judge spurned a great chance at the end of the first half when he missed the target inside the box before McCormack saw his effort fly past the post.
There were half-chances for either side after the break, with Judge seeing an effort saved moments after Bradley Johnson had fired his shot over the bar.
The Canaries took the lead on 68 minutes when England Under-21 international Redmond tucked an effort into the net after good work from Wes Hoolahan in the build-up.
Jerome then made it 2-0 shortly after with a close-range diving header, before adding a third with eight minutes remaining to give Neil Adams's side the points away from home.
