Luiz Felipe Scolari has ended his contract with Palmeiras by mutual consent after two years in charge of the Brazilian club.
The former Brazil, Chelsea and Portugal coach has recently overseen a string of poor results that has left the side in the Brazilian championship relegation zone.
"In a meeting which took place this afternoon between the president, director of football and coaching staff, it was decided by mutual agreement to end the contract between Luiz Felipe Scolari and the club," read a Palmeiras statement.
"Palmeiras thank the coach for his services, he is one of the greatest leaders the club has had in all of its history."
Scolari won the Brazilian championship, Libertadores Cup and Copa Brazil during a previous three-year spell with the club that ended in 2000.
