Jakub Blaszczykowski has insisted that the Poland squad are only focusing on their Euro 2012 opener against Greece on Friday.
Much of the hype surrounding Group A has been on Poland's fixture against arch-rivals Russia later in the group stages.
However, captain Blaszczykowski has stressed the importance of his side channelling all their efforts into taking maximum points against the Greeks.
"It's the first match, and right now, the most important," said the Borussia Dortmund player.
"Before the Greece match, we can't be thinking about Russia."
The 26-year-old has made 51 appearances at international level.
