Reading manager Brian McDermott believes that he is the man capable of keeping the Royals in the Premier League.

Reading manager Brian McDermott is confident that he can steer the Royals to Premier League safety.

The former Championship outfit reside in the bottom three of the league table, just four points above struggling Queens Park Rangers.

"I've never had any doubts," McDermott told BBC Sport. "I know how close we are [to turning things around]. We do the right things every day and if we keep doing that, the right results will come our way, I'm absolutely convinced of that."

Reading host table-toppers Manchester United this weekend.
