Ivan Zamorano: 'I told Florentino Perez to sign Arturo Vidal'

Former Chile international Ivan Zamorano says that he was asked about Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez six months ago.

Former Chile international Ivan Zamorano has revealed that he has been asked about Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Vidal, who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in European football, has been strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer.

"Six months ago Florentino Perez asked me about Vidal," Zamorano told AS.

"I told him to sign him with his eyes closed. He's an extraordinary player and would be very good at Madrid. Vidal can play anywhere in the world.

"He's triumphed in the most demanding football, Italian, and would fit in perfectly here."

Vidal is currently on international duty with Chile ahead of the World Cup.
