Dani Carvajal backs Munir El Haddadi to shine

Dani Carvajal backs new Spain teammate Munir El Haddadi to thrive with La Roja.

Dani Carvajal has backed new Spain teammate Munir El Haddadi to thrive with La Roja.

The two players are rivals in club football, with Carvajal representing Real Madrid and El Haddadi making the breakthrough at Barcelona this season.

The teenager's incredible rise has seen him named in the latest Spain senior squad, and Carvajal is confident that the 19-year-old can deal with the pressure.

"The Under-21s is to nurture players and they always bring that winning and fighting spirit and I think he'll do well," Carvajal told reporters at a press conference.

Spain face Macedonia in Monday's Euro 2016 qualifier.
