Tom Carroll: 'I couldn't turn down loan move to Swansea City'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll admits that he could not turn down the chance to join Swansea City on a season-long loan deal.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll has revealed that could not turn down the chance to join Swansea City on loan.

The 22-year-old moved to the Liberty Stadium on a season-long deal back in August and has gone on to make three appearances for the Swans.

Despite his struggle to secure a first-team spot with Spurs, Carroll is happy to spend time developing his career in South Wales.

"I've been here a month and I'm enjoying my football," he told Swansea's official website. "Everyone knows the philosophy of the club and it suits my style of play. It helps that I played in a similar style at Spurs.

"As soon as I knew Swansea were interested I really wanted to come here. It's a great club that is now established in the Premier League."

Swansea are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table after taking 11 points from their opening seven games of the campaign.
