Tottenham Hotspur reportedly intend to make Christian Eriksen one of the highest-paid players in their history, having offered the Danish playmaker a bumper new contract.
Spurs are said to have made their move amid ongoing interest from Real Madrid, who are understood to be on the lookout for defensive and attacking options.
The 26-year-old still has two years left to run on his existing deal but, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Lilywhites want him to stay on beyond 2020.
Tottenham are said to have offered to almost match the terms of Harry Kane's £200,000-a-week contract, which the Englishman signed in June.
Eriksen, currently on the sidelines with an abdominal injury sustained last month, has been at Spurs for the last five years.
