Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly still keen on a summer deal for Takehiro Tomiyasu despite suggestions that the North London outfit had cooled their interest in the Bologna defender.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side are believed to have found it difficult to negotiate with Bologna when they approached the Italian side to discuss the defender earlier this summer.
Despite signing Cristian Romero from Atalanta BC, Spurs are said to be keen to bring another centre-back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before this summer's transfer window closes for business.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Nuno's side have again 'come forward' for the 22-year-old, who has made 63 appearances for Bologna since arriving in July 2019.
However, the report claims that Tomiyasu's Serie A club are still holding out for at least €23m (£19.6m), which is believed to be more than the Premier League side are prepared to spend.
Leicester City have also been credited with an interest in the Japan international, who has three years left to run on his current contract with I Rossoblu.
