Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has admitted that he is flattered by the interest shown in him from Barcelona.
The La Liga outfit have reportedly identified the Belgium international as a replacement for Carles Puyol.
Vertonghen has insisted that Barcelona have not made an approach for him.
"It's certainly flattering when a big club like Barcelona show an interest in signing you," he told Sporza. "It's confirmation that you are on the right track.
"They say 'when there's smoke, there's fire', but there's no fire for now."
Barcelona recently signed Jeremy Mathieu from Valencia for £15.8m.
