Mark McGhee eyes St Johnstone vacancy

Mark McGhee confirms that he is interested in becoming the new manager of Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone.

Former Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee has revealed that he is interested in becoming the new boss of Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone.

The club are currently seeking a new manager following Derek McInnes's decision to join Bristol City last week and 54-year-old McGhee is keen to fill the void.

"St Johnstone are a fantastic club, who have been left a really good legacy by the outgoing manager," he said.

"I haven't managed to acquire a new job yet, so I am looking and I'm trying. I still feel I have something to offer."

McGhee has been out of work since being sacked by the Dons last December.
